Our platform

The technology behind every campaign we run.

Promostar Ads Manager is the console our media buyers work in every day. We built it ourselves on the official Google Ads API, because managing around 120 advertising accounts one screen at a time does not scale. It is internal software: we use it to run our own and our clients' accounts, and it is not sold or licensed to anyone.

Capabilities

What the platform actually does

Six areas of work that used to be manual, consolidated into one console.

01

Account management

Manager accounts connect once through Google's own consent flow. Child accounts are then discovered, linked, tagged and organised, each with its currency and timezone handled correctly. Unlinking hides an account from daily work without destroying its history.

02

Campaign launch & cloning

A guided wizard builds complete Search, Display and Video campaigns from reusable templates — budget, ad group, creatives and landing page in one pass. Proven campaigns clone across accounts instead of being rebuilt by hand.

03

Bulk management

Status, daily budget and bid targets change across many campaigns and accounts in a single reviewed operation. Every change is written to an audit log with the author, the field and the values before and after.

04

Automated rules

Scheduled rules watch stored performance and act — pausing campaigns that pass a cost threshold without converting, re-enabling them on a fresh budget, restoring budgets on a schedule. The team sets thresholds; the engine applies them around the clock.

05

Reporting & attribution

Advertising cost is joined with conversion and revenue data from our tracker, so reports show profit and return rather than spend alone. Breakdowns by date, campaign, ad group, account, manager, offer and network, with hourly views and CSV export.

06

Conversion feedback loop

Affiliate networks post confirmed conversions to our endpoint in real time. Qualifying events upload back into Google Ads as offline click conversions, so Smart Bidding optimises against outcomes the network has verified rather than pixel fires alone.

Architecture

How it works

One principle shapes the system: screens read from our database, never from the advertising platform directly. Background jobs keep the database current, so the interface stays fast and our use of Google's API stays measured and predictable.

  • Scheduled synchronisation — jobs on Google Cloud Scheduler pull campaign, ad-group and hour-of-day performance into PostgreSQL. Each account is re-queried only once its stored data passes an age threshold, so the schedule never dictates how much we ask of the API.
  • Enrichment — tracker conversion and revenue data is joined to cost by campaign, producing profit, ROAS and cost per acquisition by campaign, offer and network.
  • Automation — the rules engine evaluates stored metrics on a schedule and issues changes to Google Ads when conditions are met, each action permission-checked and logged.
  • Resilience — request pacing, per-account freshness gates and automatic back-off mean a rate limit degrades gracefully: stored data keeps serving and synchronisation resumes on its own.

Exactly what we read and write

We publish this openly. Our platform is an authorised Google Ads API client operating only on accounts we or our clients own.

What we read

Campaign and ad-group configuration — name, status, campaign type, bid strategy and targets. Performance metrics — cost, impressions, clicks, conversions and conversion value, by day and by hour. Budgets, and account details such as currency and timezone.

What we write

Creating campaigns, budgets, ad groups and ads. Cloning existing campaigns. Changing campaign status, daily budget and target CPA. Creating one dedicated conversion action per account, and uploading offline click conversions to it.

What we never do

We do not create Google Ads accounts, offer keyword planning services, share Google Ads data with third parties, use it to build products for others, or give our API credentials to software developed by anyone else.

Full detail is set out in our Google Ads API data-usage statement, alongside our privacy policy and terms.

Security

How the data is protected

Access

Sign-in is restricted to Promostar company Google accounts. Permissions are role-based and enforced server-side on every action, and every change to an advertising account is recorded in an immutable audit log.

Storage

Data is held in Google Cloud SQL with encryption at rest, reached over private connectivity. Authorisation tokens are separately encrypted and secrets live in Google Secret Manager, never in code.

Transport

Everything runs over HTTPS with managed certificates. The console is not reachable without authentication and there is no public sign-up.
